The Widmer Brothers Pub

Widmer Brothers Pub has been serving guests in North Portland since 1996. With the main brewery across the street and our 10-barrel innovation system next door, the pub is where we showcase our love for crafting delicious beer. Over half of our 27 taps feature small batch brews from the adjacent innovation brewery, so there’s always something new to try. Perch at the bar with a flight or grab a growler or Crowler of your favorite beer to go.

Hefeweizen

4.9% ABV | 30.0 IBU

Hefeweizen

* 2017 GOLD MEDAL WINNER - Oregon Beer Awards! *
Meet the beer that started it all. Our naturally cloudy flagship brew starts with the highest quality wheat. It's bold, clean flavor and pronounced citrus and floral aromas are what define American-style Hefeweizen. So pour yourself a cool, cloudy glass, finish with a lemon and enjoy the original.

Rosé Apple Cider

6.2% ABV | 0.0 IBU

Cider - Other

Hibiscus and Rose Hips

Blush

8.5% ABV | 35.0 IBU

IPA - Brut

Brut IPA is the foil to NE Style IPA’s and we’re playing along. Our version is a clean and dry version with amped up use of Nelson Sauvin and Hallertau Blanc hops to play to the vinous character of the style. Characteristically dry and highly carbonated we hope you raise a flute to expanding beer to the “Rich and Famous.” This version has hibiscus added for a soft blush color that adds a little tartness to an already super fancy beer. Get your glam on and get ready for to join the super elite for a good time!

Small Hands Make Big Walls - Mexican Lager

4.8% ABV | 19.0 IBU

Lager - Vienna

Unlike its European counterpart, Mexican Vienna Lagers are slightly darker and less malty due to the use of adjuncts typically in the form of corn. Aromas of caramel and grahm cracker from the malts are dominate, followed by an intermingle of slight floral notes from the Tetnanger noble hops. One might even say that it’s off the wall…

Six O'Clock Ruhe

5.9% ABV | 47.0 IBU

Lager - Amber

Old Embalmer (2013)

10.2% ABV | 75.0 IBU

Barleywine - American

Old Embalmer Barleywine Ale has been a favorite since it was first brewed in 1999, and true to its name, is a great beer for the cellar. Brewed with copious amounts of malts, this year’s version features X-431 hops, a limited variety that lends tropical, dark red fruit and citrus qualities for brilliant balance and a velvety finish.

Depelletizer

6.5% ABV | 60.0 IBU

IPA - New England

Hazy IPA with wheat added

RRIS '13

9.5% ABV | 55.0 IBU

Stout - Russian Imperial

Raspberry Russian is an extremely rich and complex beer. We brewed the now classic KGB Russian Imperial Stout as the base beer and added copious amounts of raspberries during fermentation. The result is an almost purplish opaque color with a beautiful brown head. You will notice the combination of fruit and chocolate in the nose, along with a coffee like roastyness.

Winter Ale

WARM UP WITH A COLD ONE. OR TWO. OUR WINTER RED ALE IS THE PERFECT TREAT, NAUGHTY OR NICE. THE DEEP RED BODY FILLS YOUR GLASS AND A CITRUSY HOP AROMA FILLS YOUR NOSE. THEN CARAMEL AND CHOCOLATE MALTS REWARD YOU WITH A PERFECTLY BALANCED, MALTY SWEET FLAVOR AND VELVETY FINISH.

Roasted Chestnut Porter (contains nuts)

5.5% ABV | 30.0 IBU

Porter - English

Brown Porter with Chestnut flour in the mash. Also just a sprinkle of cherrywood smoke malt to add to the complexity of the chestnuts.

Alt Bier

5.0% ABV | 40.0 IBU

Altbier

The first beer ever brewed by Widmer Brothers. Alt beer is a traditional German ale. Alt is an assertively bitter beer with a clean, dry roasted finish and a deep amber hue. The potent hop bitterness is balanced by the flavor of the Munich and Caramel specialty malts.

Warpin' Dorphin'

6.5% ABV | 85.0 IBU

IPA - American

This beer started as a collaboration with our brewing brothers from Appalachian Mountain Brewery and is an IPA with light malt profile, highlighted with the complexity of Galaxy, Mosaic, Simcoe and Azacca. Massive hops at the end of boil try to pull the flavor profile away from the traditional lingering bitterness and move towards a IPA… that’s not an IPA. It’s tropical! It’s piney! It’s grassy! It’s citrusy – but, it’s not your usual IPA!

Deadlift Imperial IPA

8.6% ABV | 70.0 IBU

IPA - Imperial / Double

Deadlift boasts the strong hop flavor of an imperial IPA without the weigh down. Citrusy and berry-like Nelson Sauvin hops meld with just enough malty sweetness and caramel character to balance the intense hop flavor and aroma.

Tang-A-Rang Tropical Sour

4.0% ABV | 5.0 IBU

Sour - Gose

Tang-A-Rang is a loud and punchy sour ale that packs tang and tropical citrus of Passionfruit and Guava smoothed out with mellow botanicals of Hibuscus flower. This tart and refreshing sour is tropical heaven in a glass.

PDX Bitters Takes Manhattan

11.7% ABV | 30.0 IBU

Brown Ale - Imperial / Double

Our collaboration with PDX Bitters, was based on brewing a neutral brown ale with a hint of cherry wood smoke and then aging four threads for eventual blending. The bees were aged in Woodford Rye barrels with the following treatments:

Aged with Orange peel
Aged with Cherry
Aged with PDX Bitters own special blend of botanicals
Aged, but unadulterated

The final blend reflects our favorite combination that leaned into Cindy’s botanical blend to play up PDX Bitters contribution to the Manhattan inspired beer!

Thee Mugi Dry

4.2% ABV | 18.0 IBU

Lager - Japanese Rice

Japanese style lager, infused with Roasted Barely Tea
